Farrell's Taekwondo was founded in 1982 at the Guthrie Center High School. Lance Farrell had returned from classes at Iowa State University for the summer to try his hand at teaching the Korean martial art of Taekwondo. He quickly found he had a knack for teaching people of all ages and his students responded well to his positive, encouraging ways of bringing out their best. As the class in Guthrie Center grew, a Creston, Iowa, location was opened in 1985.
When Mr. Farrell founded his first full-time Taekwondo school in Des Moines, IA, Farrell's Taekwondo became Farrell's U.S. Martial Arts & Fitness.
Today, Farrell's U.S. Martial Arts is a full-time martial arts organization dedicated to helping students of all ages set and achieve goals and strive for their Black Belts.
